Parrots is a new type of mob to be added in the upcoming Minecraft 1.12 update for PC. Parrots will be added into MCPE eventually, but for now you can try them by installing this particular mod. They will replace bats and so as their behaviour, which means you can't put a parrot on your shoulder and sail across the seas. Another pity thing about the mod, is that there is can be active only one color palette for the birds, but you can switch between three variants: red, green, blue and cyan.

You can tame them by feeding it seeds, it will fly behind you and scare away zombies and husks, but this feature seems to work only on 1.1.0 version or higher.

How to install addons:

Download addon straight from your device
Find and open .mcpack or .mcworld files that you download earlier
Click it to import into Minecraft Pocket Edition
Open the game
Create a new world or edit an existing world
Scroll down to Add-ons section and select the ones you want to apply
